REFLECTIONS
My first
“Educational experience” artifact was created for
the Multimedia/Hypermedia course. I created a website
in HTML to
showcase web 2.0 tools
like HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Audacity, Wikispaces, Adobe
Flash, Adobe Photoshop demonstrating the skills I learned in the
course.
|
My first
“World
experience” artifact was created
and designed for Teachers at Bethlehem Christian Academy (BCA). The website
serves as a repository of Open Source Software (OSS) tools
which I recommend for
Teachers' personal and professional development in technology. |
Artifacts 2- 5 of my
"Educational
experience” are from a team project assigned to
myself and
4 colleagues in the Instructional
Design course.
Our Subject Matter Expert/Client was Professor
Cheryl Ward. Dr. Ward
has received numerous questions and expressions of interest about the
“Flipped
Classroom” and wanted my team to design a web-based learning
system that
informed learners on what the Flipped Classroom was, and how to do it.
Each
member of my team had very discreet roles and talents. I served as the
Communicator. All communications between Instructor, Master’s
Education
Students, Colleagues, and the Team were my responsibility.
I
was also responsible for the creating,
monitoring, and maintenance of our Wikispaces which was the medium we
used for
communicating our analysis, design, development, implementation and
evaluation
of our learning module. Artifacts
include our instructional
design project paper,
the website
for
instruction on the Flipped Classroom, our presentation,
and a
paper
describing my role on the team. |
My
second "World
experience" artifact is from a survey of Bethlehem Christian Academy
(BCA) Teachers. I conducted a survey
to make an assessment of the
technology experience of the teaching staff. Based on their experience,
I was able to determine where to start a Professional Deveopment in
Technology progam.
As a result of the survey, two
websites were created and designed to address the immediate needs for
technology training for Administrators, Teachers, Staff, Students, and
Parents. The two websites are:

Professional Development in Technology Workshop.

Artifacts 6-8 in my
"Educational
experience” are from a team project assigned to
myself and colleague in the Web-Based Learning Systems (WBLS)
course taught by Dr. I-Chun Tsai.
This web based instructional design is created and designed
as
part of the Professional Development in Technology program for teachers
at Bethlehem Christian Academy (BCA). Terri and I provide instructions
for using Open Source Software (OSS) web tools for communication and
collaboration, that enhance productivity and professional practice for
integrating technology in the classroom.
Artifacts 6-8 include the WBLS
project, and 2 documents
describing the
process for creating the instruction: TNTADD
(Analysis, Design, Development), and TNTEI
(Evaluation &
Implementation). |
