WELCOME TO MODULE 4 GOOGLE APPS

Great job everyone! Now it's time to share with parents your Classroom Wikispaces. Today, you are going to make the announcement to your students and parents that you have a Classroom wiki that you will use for instruction and communication.

First, you will create a Gmail account. A Gmail account will allow you to do all sorts of online multimedia, like share classroom pictures, chat with colleagues, parents, and students in real time (synchronous) and delayed time (asynchronous), and send and receive email messages. 

Second, you will create a Google Docs document. Google Docs allows you to create, edit, store and share files with other users online from remote locations and in real-time. You will create a Google Docs word document to announce your Classroom Wiki and invite students and parents to watch the Internet Safety videos.

Last, you will embed a blog on your Classroom wiki. The blog will be available to students and parents to provide you feedback on the Classroom Wiki and the Internet Safety videos.

5) Send students home with copy of Google Docs inviting parents to see Classroom Wikispaces (watch Internet Safety videos, comment on videos in wiki blog)
